Free tickets to 21,000 teachers from Qatar Airways

The registration system, which will open on Qatar Airways 'website on October 5, World Teachers' Day, offers a free economy class ticket for travels until September 30, 2021.

On the occasion of World Teachers' Day, Qatar Airways will offer 21,000 free tickets to thank teachers for their valuable work in educating young people around the world in the face of the challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The system will be active on October 5 at 04.00 and closes on October 8 at 03.59 (Doha time). Teachers will be able to participate in the campaign by filling out the form on the website to receive the special promotion code offered on a first come, first served basis.

Tickets are available for teachers from more than 75 countries where Qatar Airways currently operates. To ensure that the application process is fair and transparent, each country will receive a gradual daily ticket allocation over the three-day campaign period. During the campaign period, the daily allocation will be renewed at 04:00 Doha time.

Successfully registered teachers will receive an economy class round trip ticket to any location in Qatar Airways' network of more than 90 destinations worldwide. In addition, they will receive a 50 percent discount coupon for a future round trip ticket that they can use for themselves, a family member or a friend. Both tickets are valid for travels until 30 September 2021.

Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said:

“We at Qatar Airways are incredibly grateful for the commitment and hard work of the teaching professionals around the world who continue to educate our young people in these times of uncertainty. We know this is not an easy task, but teachers are extremely resourceful, turning to online learning and other methods. As the largest global airline to fly consistently throughout the pandemic, in recent weeks we have helped students fly to where they need it on charter and scheduled flights. As an airline, we strongly believe in the importance of education and are committed to supporting educational goals. "
