A five-day strike by easyJet cabin crew in Portugal has caused major disruption at Lisbon, Porto and Faro airports.
According to the union, 443 easyJet flights were cancelled between October 2 and 6. The airline brought aircraft and cabin crew from other European bases and aimed to operate around 55% of scheduled flights.
The dispute is linked to working conditions, staff shortages, scheduling problems and overtime concerns.
Another strike is planned for December 19–23, 2026, during the busy Christmas travel period. Passengers travelling with easyJet in Portugal should check their flight status before travelling and consider alternative options.
