Exploring the Power Source of Aircraft Carriers: Nuclear or Conventional
Not all aircraft carriers are nuclear powered. Some aircraft carriers are conventionally powered by fossil fuels such as diesel or aviation fuel, while others are powered by nuclear reactors. Nuclear-powered aircraft carriers have advantages over conventionally powered carriers in terms of endurance, speed, and operational flexibility, but they are also more complex and expensive to build and maintain. The United States Navy, for example, operates nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, while other countries such as Russia and China have also developed nuclear-powered carriers.
