Flybondi Financial Crisis Deepens as Airline Seeks Debt Restructuring

Argentine low-cost airline Flybondi is facing a deepening financial crisis after its legal representative filed for debt restructuring in Argentina on October 2, 2026. The court process is still awaiting formal confirmation.

According to the report, Flybondi has not operated commercial flights for 57 days since its last flight on August 5. Ten of its former fleet of 13 aircraft have reportedly been returned to leasing companies, while the remaining three are grounded.

Passenger numbers have also collapsed. Flybondi carried 254,533 domestic passengers in August 2025, compared with just 1,865 in August 2026.

The crisis has also affected employees, with more than 900 reportedly leaving the company by the end of September. Former workers have raised concerns about delayed wages and severance payments.

Flybondi's future remains uncertain as the airline faces mounting financial pressure and the possibility of court-supervised debt restructuring.
