Aeroflot stops international flights!


Russia's flag carrier, Aeroflot, will stop all international flights, except Belarus, from 8 March.
Aeroflot's aforementioned decision came after the recommendation of the Russian Federal Aviation Agency Rosaviatsiya to suspend flights from Russia to abroad from 6 March and from foreign countries to Russia from 8 March.

After Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the EU, the USA, the UK and some other countries decided to close their airspaces to Russian airlines

Aeroflot shares crashed!


After Russia's intervention in Ukraine, the shares of the country's flag carrier airline Aeroflot crashed.
Russia's attack on Ukraine and the statements that this attack from Western countries, especially the USA, will be responded to with very heavy economic sanctions, make Russian companies lose value.

In the statements made by the EU and the USA, it was stated that the sanctions would hit the Russian financial system and markets. After the statements made, the RTS index depreciated by 40 percent in the Moscow Stock Exchange, which was opened at 10:00 am. The market value of stocks traded on the Russian stock market also fell by 180 billion dollars.

VTB, one of the country's largest banks, lost 35 percent, Sberbank 79 percent, and natural gas giant Gazprom fell 34 percent.

Magnit shares fell 34.4 percent, Ozon Holding shares fell 31.89 percent and the shares of retail giant X5 Group fell 31.45 percent.

AEROFLOT SHARES HAVE ALSO CRACKED

The shares of Aeroflot, the flag carrier of the country, started the day at 44.50 rubles, and lost more than 30 percent in value. The shares of the airline company, which fell to 29.06 rubles during the day, are currently trading at 34.50 rubles. If the operation is not stopped, the depreciation is expected to continue
