According to the Sydney Morning Herald, National Australia Bank, ANZ, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Westpac Banking Corporation have frozen accounts of customers who have made money transfers to four crypto money exchanges (CoinJar, CoinSpot, CoinBase and BTC Markets). Crypto money trader and YouTuber Alex Saunders Twitter account announced the intervention that banks made without any explanation. After the arguments, National Australia Bank, ANZ, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Westpac Banking Corporation made the statement. Speakers in the bank said the banks were not allowed to transfer funds from their accounts to crypto money exchanges such as CoinJar, Coinbase, CoinSopt and BTC Markets, or their accounts were frozen. The banks responding to these assertions did not reject it or give a clear answer.
