Unfortunately, lithium-ion batteries are completely safe. This technology allows ions to enter between the electrodes, causing the electrolytes to charge or generate energy. This battery is usually powered by flammable materials to provide power to a phone or a computer. But apparently soon this will be a problem too. Thanks to the new water-based electrolyte they produce, scientists can develop both more energy-efficient and more reliable batteries
