Technical Officer Powerplant

Reporting to the Powerplant Team Leader, the Fleet Engineer Technical Officer Powerplant is responsible for assisting the Powerplant team with Powerplant Configuration Management of Engines within Virgin Australia's fleet. This role will also require you to provide support to the Engineering Operations department and all other Virgin Australia departments with your technical knowledge as required and be responsible for ensuring that any engineering issues raised by Virgin Australia or its' maintenance providers are responded to effectively and efficiently so that engineering delays are kept to a minimum.
This role will also see you being accountable for the following:-
Continued Airworthiness/Configuration control
Process Development and Improvement
Regulatory Awareness
Fleet Performance

To join this exciting team, you will have experience in an airline Technical Services Department or repair station/overhaul shop along with an understanding of aircraft Powerplant Systems. Proficiency in the use of a standard Microsoft Windows Operating system with reasonable skills in the use of MS Office would also be advantageous. The successful candidate will have the willingness and ability to work co-operatively and collaboratively with others and the versatility to take on different work roles. Your strong interpersonal skills and team working skills will be imperative to this role.
